Eye of the Hourglass

A compass of light flickers
On crystalline beaches
Palm fronds tickle the horizon
Salty, sun-baked skin

Shrubs, a lake of clouds
Ruddy ridges underfoot
Puddles, stone walls yawn
Europe will see me

Light, curious existence
Devil lost his footing
Healed by eyes moving
Like the sands of time

Mother believe me
If I can just find a way
To do this until the day I die
I will be happy
